Virginia Hope “Gin” Hensler, 95 of Wellsburg, WV passed away peacefully on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Ann’s Country Retreat in Wellsburg, WV.

She was born on September 16, 1917 in Sturgeon, PA a daughter of the late John A. and Susan M. (Hosterman) Webster. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Mathias “Matt” W. Hensler, two brothers, John and Robert Webster and six sisters, Alice Bennett, Violet Tumnskie, Oma McCullough, Harriett Genevieve Snyder, Gladys Brothers, and Gloria Anderson.

Virginia was a homemaker and a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church in Wellsburg, WV. She was also a member of the Brooke County Chapter of the A.A.R.P. #3910, and the Brooke County Senior Center.

Surviving are three children, William M. “Bill” (Margaret) Hensler, Gerald L. “Jerry” (Winnie) Hensler both of Wellsburg, WV and Diane E. Long and her husband Bill Bean of St. Petersburg, FL., One sister, Isabelle “Ike” Sellers of Weirton, WV, Three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Amy, and Matt Hensler, Several nieces and nephews,

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 17th from 1-3 & 6-8 P.M. at the Mullenbach funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV where funeral services will be held on Monday, February 18th at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Carl Tribett officiating. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery in Independence, PA.
